Let me start my writing with a poem by Joyce Kilmer about Trees. I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the Earth’s sweet flowing breast.
A tree that looks at God all day
And lifts her leafy arms to pray.
A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair.
Upon whose bosom snow has lain.
Who intimately lives with the rain.
Poems are made by fools like me.
But only God can make a tree.
They started to trim the trees today. No cut it! Cut it from 20 to 10 feet and leaving just little little leaves with it. This is very unkindly not only to us human but also to the innocent trees that just not shade us from the heat of the sun but also reduce carbon dioxide in our much polluted city, produce oxygen and cleans the air that is the vital source of our respiration.
I don’t know how the people from the authorities think and I do not really understand the reason for such actions. We can trim the leaves, but cut it? I guess not. This is the city yet the society still need these trees to stay on under the blazing heat of sun and helps us unleash stress from the demands of everyday life.
We often take it for granted yet these trees that do us no harm but to simply grow to shelter us from all the weather are still the ones that are not appreciated by many. How many storms has come across and ruined some part of our nation leaving disaster simply because trees were not visible in the area. This is just one retaliation from our mother nature that is mostly being suffered by the innocent.
How inconsiderate you would realize people are who would only think of themselves and not the welfare of the many by cutting the trees in the woods or even here in the city that is beneficial to human kind. These trees are God's gift for everybody to benefit and not for some iniquitous people to take advantage of.
Welcome to the real world.
